Lillian Simmons

She was educated in the James Island Public Schools. She accepted Christ as her personal Lord and Savior at Morris Street Baptist Church under the leadship of Rev. Dunbar in the name of Jesus Christ.
She was joined in holy matrimony to the late Charles Simmons; from that union they had four children, Sarahann Garrett, Elizabeth Robinson, Mary F. Richardson of Charleston SC and Charles Simmons, Jr., of Washington, DC.
She was loved by many. On late Wednesday evening, February 14, 2007, she was called home.
She leaves to mourn her passing: her four children; her grandchildren, Stanley Garrett, Jacqueline Garrett, Lillian Jones, the late Kevin Garrett, the late Kenneth Garrett, Guishard Robinson, Douglas Robinson, Rashaun Richardson and Shanel Simmons; one great-grand, six great-great-grands; sisters, Gloria Green, Anna Lee Jones and Marlene Fleming of Charleston, SC and Nadine Grant (Robert)of Johns Island, SC; brothers, the late James Fleming, the late Prince Fleming, Jr., the late Theodore Drayton, Anthony Fleming (Deborah) of Ft. Lauderdale, FL, Richie Fleming of Charleston, SC and Larry Drayton (Cheryl) of Boston, MA; a special nephew, James Glison and host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
